When you enter into a contract plan, NextVolt Energy purchases your power in advance for the length of your contract term. As a result, should you choose to break your contract and switch to another provider, you are assessed an Early Termination Fee. Early Termination Fees are assessed if you switch to another provider in the middle of your contract. If you have to move to another address and either transfer your service, or provide us with your final billing address, an Early Termination Fee will not be assessed.
In Texas, we also provide a “30-day Guarantee”, where no early termination will be assessed if you choose to switch providers within the first 30 days of your service.
